Method Flowchart

1.Setting for installation position
Operator moves the machine to installation point. Then he checks the pile number on the control system display.
2.Zero setting of CP bottom level
Operator sets [Zero] on the computer system once the Casing Pipe (CP) bottom is touching the ground surface.
3.Commence of Penetration
Operator starts to drive in the Casing Pipe (CP) into the seabed or ground.
Vibro-hammer is used to penetrate the CP.
4.Penetration of CP and Filling sand into CP
During the process of penetration, Operator fills in sand to the CP by sand supply bucket.
5.Discharge of marine clay and Completed Penetration
When penetration is approaching the design depth, Operator withdraws the CP to discharge the clay, and by lowering the sand level weight (SL) to check & ensure the clay is being discahrged from CP. Thereafter, CP is redrived to the design depth.
6.Withdrawal of CP (Forming SD)
Operator withdraws the CP to the required height indicated on the monitor.
Compressed air and water jet are used to facilitate the discharge of sand inside the CP. (Sand Drain)
7.Redrive the CP and Compact the sand
When withdrawal is reaching the preset height, Operator redrives the CP down to the indicated depth shown on the monitor.
8.Fill up sand into CP
When the sand is not enough, Operator will refill the sand into the CP.
9.SCP
Repeat the same steps from 6 to 8.
10.Completion of SCP Installation
Completion.
11.Structural Installation
After completion of SCP installation, structures like concrete caisson vertical seawall, box culvert etc., to be placed on top of it.

1.SD Installation Position Setting By GPS
Key in Pile Number.
Design and existing positions of vessel appear on GPS monitor. Captain manoeuvres the vessel from existing position to design position by operating the anchor winches.
2.Seabed Level Measurement
After vessel position is in place, Operator lowers down the bathymeter (sounder) to measure the seabed level.
3.Commence of Penetration
Operator starts to drive in the Casing Pipe (CP) into the seabed or ground.
Vibro-hammer is used to penetrate the CP.
4.Penetration of CP and Filling sand into CP
During the process of penetration, Operator fills in sand to the CP by sand supply bucket.
5.Completed Penetration and Filling sand into CP
When CP is reaching the design depth, Operator stops the penetration and check the sand level in the CP.
6.Withdrawal of CP
Operator withdraws the CP to required height indicated on the screen.
Compressed air and air jet are used to facilitate the discharge of sand inside the CP.
7.Completion of SD Installation
Completion.
8.Install Surcharge
The surcharge serves as vertical load acting on the ground to facilitate the settlement as the ground water seeps thru the
sand drains and flow upward to the ground surface.
9.Structural Installation
After settlement , the balance sand in the surcharge is removed and structural objects are installed.
